Trevor co-founded Callan Capital with his brothers Tim and Ryan in January of 2007. Trevor is responsible for Asset and Portfolio Management and Corporate Executive Services. He is the Chief Investment Officer of the Callan Capital Investment Committee.
Trevor Callan started his career in financial advisory and wealth management in 1992 with Shearson Lehman Brothers. In 1994, he transferred to Merrill Lynch, where he spent the next 13 years. During his tenure with Merrill Lynch, he ultimately became a First Vice President. Additionally, he was selected through a rigorous testing process to become the first advisor to represent the Merrill Lynch Private Banking and Investment Group (PBIG) in San Diego, an operation dedicated to serving clients with liquid assets in excess of $10 million.
Trevor has a B.S. in Finance from San Diego State University. He earned a Certified Investment Manger Analyst® (CIMA®) designation following coursework and examination at the Wharton School and Certified Private Wealth Advisor® (CPWA®) designation following coursework and examination at The University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
Trevor balances his career with philanthropy and family. He is a Co-Founder and former Board Member of the Equinox Center, a non-partisan, independent, nonprofit research center focused on economically sound environmental sustainability for the San Diego region. Trevor also co-founded the PEERS Network, a philanthropic organization comprised of young San Diego entrepreneurs that has raised more than $1,000,000 for charitable organizations since 2009. He is a former board member of the San Diego Social Venture Partners and the La Jolla Music Society. Trevor is a resident of La Jolla with his daughter Jade Callan.
Tim co-founded Callan Capital with his two brothers in January of 2007. Tim has been assisting high net worth individuals in the areas of wealth management since 2000. As a Certified Financial Planner® and Certified Private Wealth Advisor®, Tim takes responsibility for clients’ overall financial planning and oversees a team of planners that assist with design. Tim makes sure that every area within a significant estate is addressed, including asset management, debt management, trust and estate, risk management, disability, financial independence, philanthropy, and tax minimization. He is also a member of the Callan Capital Investment Committee.
Tim earned a B.S. in Finance at the University of Colorado in Boulder, CO. Prior to starting the company, Tim spent 7 years with Merrill Lynch and was a member of the firm’s dedicated high net worth division, The Private Banking and Investment Group. Prior to joining Merrill Lynch, he worked at Charles Schwab in the Retail Strategy department and the Pacific Coast Options Exchange.
Tim strives to give back to the San Diego community. He is president of PEERS, a non profit organization of entrepreneurs and community leaders that give back time and money to local charities. He's also a member of the Kiwanis Club of San Diego which focuses on the needs of young children in the local community. He is an avid skier, surfer, and sailor. Tim lives in Point Loma with his wife, Jacqueline and baby, Lily
Ryan co-founded Callan Capital with his brothers Tim and Trevor in January of 2007. He handles operations at Callan Capital, including firm-wide trading, compliance, technology, and strategic planning. He also sits on the Callan Capital Investment Committee.
Prior to starting the company, Ryan spent 5 years with Merrill Lynch assisting high net worth individuals in the areas of wealth management and financial planning. Ryan began his professional financial career at Preferred Capital in Lake Tahoe in 1997 after graduating from the University of Nevada in Reno, Nevada. He was an executive in the firm’s business financial services unit focusing on lending to small and mid-sized companies before moving to San Diego.
Ryan is committed to giving back to the community. He sits on the board of the Kiwanis Club of San Diego. Ryan sits on the Kiwanis Youth Services Committee, Membership Development Committee, and Community Services Committee and is a founding member of the Kiwanis Young Professionals Group. He also sits on the board of the Old Town Academy Foundation Charter School.
Ryan enjoys spending time with his wife Heidi and two sons. He can be found each weekend on the sports field coaching his son’s teams. Ryan also enjoys tennis, golf, fishing, surfing, and skiing.
Daniella M. Boni, MBA - Managing Director, Marketing and Communications
Daniella joined Callan Capital in July of 2014 and is responsible for Callan Capital’s marketing, communications and business development strategy, including brand management, client communications, events, digital marketing, advertising, social media and public relations.
Prior to Callan Capital, she spent 5 years at Crestwood Advisors, a Boston-based wealth management firm, where she was responsible for implementing the marketing strategy. In 2012, she joined Fidelity Investments, working across retail, intermediary and institutional distribution channels to market Fidelity products and services. Daniella began her financial services marketing career at State Street Bank and Trust.
Daniella earned a B.S. in Marketing from Fairfield University in Fairfield, CT and an M.B.A. in Marketing from Northeastern University in Boston, MA. She is a board member of PAICR, the investment management marketing association. She is a mentor through Big Brothers Big Sisters of San Diego County and sits on the board of the Young Professionals Committee. Daniella is also a member of the American Marketing Association.
As a native Bostonian, Daniella enjoys the San Diego lifestyle. She enjoys pilates, hiking, and spending time with her fiance and golden retriever, Bentley.
Robert S. Mikulski - Managing Director, Operations and Client Service
As Callan Capital’s managing director of operations and client service, Rob joins Callan Capital with more than fourteen years of experience in wealth management. Rob lends strategic guidance and leadership to our client service team. In this role, Rob maintains Callan's policies, procedures and use of technology to help create a more automated and systematic approach to operations.
Prior to joining Callan Capital, Rob spent eleven years focused exclusively on client service and portfolio analysis for three major Registered Investment Advisory firms including Homrich Berg in Atlanta, GA, Dowling & Yahnke in San Diego, CA and Lexington Wealth Management in Boston, MA. His work was focused on portfolio performance management, client reporting and team management. Most recently, his area of expertise included working with Homrich Berg's ultra high net worth family office clients. Rob holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Massachusetts.
Originally from the Boston, Massachusetts area, Robert relocated to San Diego ten years ago to take advantage of the warmer weather and enjoy a multitude of outdoor activities. Robert is an active supporter of the Susan G. Komen Foundation® and Junior Achievement of San Diego.
Olivia joined Callan Capital in June of 2018 as the firm’s Managing Director of Financial Planning. Olivia is responsible for overseeing the firm’s financial planning and managing client relationships.
Prior to Callan Capital, she spent 4 years at Commonwealth Financial Network, an independent Broker/Dealer, as an Advanced Planning Consultant where she provided financial advice on all areas of financial planning, including business, tax, education, estate, Social Security, and retirement income planning. Prior to Commonwealth, Olivia was a business attorney in Dallas, TX.
Olivia earned a B.B.A in Business from The University of San Diego and a Juris Doctor and M.B.A. in Finance from Syracuse University in New York. She also holds a Certified Financial Planner Designation and is a member of the State Bar of Texas.
As a native San Diegan, Olivia enjoys being outdoors and staying active with her two Labrador Retrievers. She also enjoys volunteering and spends most of her volunteer time at Vida Joven de Tijuana, an orphanage across the border in Tijuana, Mexico.
David has been with Callan Capital since its inception in January of 2007. In fact, he started work in finance as an intern with The Callan Group at Merrill Lynch, beginning in 2006. David is responsible for investment analytics and creating financial plans for clients, as well as managing client reporting.
David graduated from University of California, San Diego in 2007 with a B.A. in Economics and is currently working to become a Certified Financial Planner® (CFP®) while taking on a junior Financial Planner role under the guidance of Tim Callan.
David’s interests include the ongoing restoration of his 1969 Mustang, skeet shooting, the culinary arts, and following San Diego’s ever-expanding craft beer scene.
Kaitlin C. Coryell - Senior Associate, Operations and Compliance
Kaitlin joined Callan Capital in January of 2015 as a Portfolio Associate. Kaitlin works closely with clients and advisors by assisting with portfolio reviews and reporting, financial planning, and compliance regulations.
Prior to joining Callan Capital, Kaitlin worked for Continental Food Sales as the Logistics Manager and Financial Operations Assistant, where she was responsible for the execution and negotiation of product contracts as well as assisting the accounting department with account receivable operations. In 2014, she joined Ameriprise Financial, where she assisted nine financial advisors and their clientele. Kaitlin discovered her passion for the wealth management industry while starting her career with United Capital in San Francisco.
Kaitlin earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business with an Honors concentration in Financial Services from Saint Mary’s College of California in Moraga, California. She is also a member of Sigma Beta Delta, an international honor society for individuals with high academic achievement in the business, marketing, and financial services fields.
As a new resident of Dallas, TX, Kaitlin loves exploring all that the city has to offer. In her off-time, Kaitlin enjoys running and spending time with her husband Mitchell and dogs Hank and Birdie.
Jennifer M. Azares - Senior Associate, Client Service and Administration
Jennifer joined Callan Capital in August of 2018 as a Senior Associate, responsible for client scheduling, executive support and coordination of day to day office activities and operations.
Prior to Callan Capital, Jennifer worked in hospital administration at Rady Children’s Hospital for nine years supporting the Chief Financial Officer. She was promoted to support the Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Stephen Kingsmore, with the launch of the recently formed Genomic Institute in September of 2015.
Jennifer served as board secretary for the Rady Children’s Institute for Genomic Medicine Board of Directors and Scientific Advisory Board from 2015-2018. She and her family are frequent volunteers at the San Diego Food Bank.
As a San Diego native, Jennifer and her family enjoy hiking, spending the day at the beach, going to concerts and are avid Airbnb’ers.
Alyana C. Stokes - Associate, Operations and Client Service
Alyana joined Callan Capital in October of 2017 as the firm's Client Service Associate. Alyana handles general client service tasks such as account paperwork and account disbursements, and works as a liaison with our Custodian, Charles Schwab.
Prior to joining Callan Capital, Alyana worked as an Associate Financial Services Representative with Charles Schwab. Alyana holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Financial Counseling & Planning from Purdue University in Indiana.
Alyana loves spending time with her husband and their cat Tormund. As a new resident to Austin, TX, she can be found enjoying Austin's live music scene and exploring nature in South Texas. In addition, she volunteers with a few of the greater Austin area Humane Societies.
