Associate, Operations and Client Service


Sara joined Callan Capital in July of 2019 as an Associate of Operations and Client Service.

Prior to Callan Capital, Sara has spent almost twenty years in financial services; working most of her career in Client Services and Operations Management.  Her expertise is in in providing exceptional support for advisors with clientele of high net worth individuals.

Sara earned a Bachelor of Science from Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas in 1998.

Sara enjoys traveling and spending time exploring all the outdoor activities, food and live music Austin has to offer.

Director, Wealth Management


Rebecca joined Callan Capital in July of 2019, as Director of Wealth Management for the Austin office. Rebecca focuses on business development within the State of Texas.

Rebecca has worked in the wealth management field for 6 years, working with firms such as BNY Mellon and Merrill Lynch, as Senior Portfolio Analyst and Financial Advisor for high net worth teams in Dallas & New Hampshire.

Rebecca earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Anthropology in 2012 from the University at Albany and her Master’s Degree in Public Administration from Southern New Hampshire University in 2015.

Rebecca is involved with organizations such as the National Blood Clot Alliance and Every Mother Counts, she is also active in institutions focused on the arts. She currently resides in Austin with her husband, daughter and 3-legged rescue dog.

Director, Operations and Compliance


Kaitlin joined Callan Capital in January of 2015. She is responsible for the firm’s portfolio reporting as well as overseeing the firm’s compliance program.

Prior to joining Callan Capital, Kaitlin worked for United Capital in San Francisco and Ameriprise Financial in San Diego, where she assisted nine financial advisors and their clientele.

Kaitlin earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with an honors concentration in financial services from Saint Mary’s College of California in Moraga. She is a member of Sigma Beta Delta, an international honor society for individuals with high academic achievement in the business, marketing and financial services fields. Kaitlin is also an active member of her church, volunteering her time as a Sunday School teacher.

In her free time, Kaitlin loves exploring all Fort Worth has to offer. She enjoys cooking, baking and spending time with her husband, Mitchell, their daughter, Lyla, and their dogs, Hank and Birdie.

Senior Associate, Operations and Client Service


Alyana joined Callan Capital in October 2017 as a Senior Client Service Associate, responsible for general client service tasks such as account paperwork and account disbursements, as well as communication with our custodian, Charles Schwab.

Prior to joining Callan Capital, Alyana worked as an Associate Financial Services Representative with Charles Schwab. She holds a Bachelor of Science in financial counseling & planning from Purdue University.

Alyana loves spending time with her husband, cat and dog. Outside the office, she can be found enjoying Austin’s live music scene and exploring the Texas Hill Country. In addition, she volunteers with the greater Austin area humane societies.

Senior Associate, Client Service and Administration


Jennifer joined Callan Capital in August 2018 as a Senior Associate, responsible for client scheduling, executive support and coordination of day-to-day office activities and operations.

Prior to Callan Capital, Jennifer worked nine years in hospital administration at Rady Children’s Hospital, supporting the Chief Financial Officer. She was promoted to support the Chief Executive Officer with the launch of the recently formed Genomic Institute in September 2015. Jennifer served as board secretary for the Rady Children’s Institute for Genomic Medicine Board of Directors and Scientific Advisory Board from 2015-2018. She studied legal office administration at Pensacola Christian College.

As a San Diego native, Jennifer enjoys hiking, spending the day at the beach, going to concerts and frequenting AirBnBs with her family. They are also volunteers at the San Diego Food Bank.

Managing Director, Financial Planning


Olivia joined Callan Capital in June 2018 as Managing Director of Financial Planning. She is responsible for managing client relationships and overseeing the firm’s financial planning.

Prior to Callan Capital, she spent four years at Commonwealth Financial Network, an independent broker/dealer, as an Advanced Planning Consultant, providing financial advice on all areas of financial planning, including business, tax, education, estate, Social Security, and retirement income planning. Prior to Commonwealth, Olivia was a business attorney in Dallas.

Olivia earned a B.B.A in business from the University of San Diego and a Juris Doctor and M.B.A. in finance from Syracuse University in New York. She also holds a Certified Financial Planner Designation and is a member of the State Bar of Texas.

As a native San Diegan, Olivia enjoys being outdoors and staying active with her three dogs and cat. She is a board member and an active volunteer at Vida Joven de Tijuana, an orphanage in Tijuana, Mexico.

Managing Partner


Trevor co-founded Callan Capital with his brothers, Tim and Ryan, in January 2007. He is the Chief Investment Officer of the Callan Capital Investment Committee, responsible for portfolio management and corporate executive services.

Trevor began his career in financial advisory and wealth management in 1992 with Shearson Lehman Brothers. In 1994, he transferred to Merrill Lynch, where he spent the next 13 years. During his tenure, he was selected through a rigorous testing process to become the first advisor in San Diego to represent the Merrill Lynch Private Banking and Investment Group (PBIG), an operation dedicated to serving clients with liquid assets in excess of $10 million.

Trevor has a B.S. in finance from San Diego State University. He earned a Certified Investment Manager Analyst® (CIMA®) designation following coursework and examination at the Wharton School and Certified Private Wealth Advisor® (CPWA®) designation following coursework and examination at The University of Chicago Booth School of Business.

Trevor balances his career with philanthropy and family. He is a co-founder and former board member of the Equinox Center, a nonprofit research center focused on economically sound environmental sustainability for the San Diego region. Trevor also co-founded the PEERS Network, a philanthropic organization comprised of young San Diego entrepreneurs that has raised more than $1 million for charitable organizations since 2009. He is a current board member of San Diego’s Venture Group and a former board member of San Diego Social Venture Partners and the La Jolla Music Society. Trevor resides in La Jolla with his daughter, Jade.

Tim co-founded Callan Capital with his two brothers, Ryan and Trevor, in January 2007. He has been assisting high net worth individuals in wealth management since 2000. As a Certified Financial Planner® and Certified Private Wealth Advisor®, Tim takes responsibility for clients’ overall financial planning and oversees a team of planners. He addresses topics most pressing to a significant estate, including asset management, debt management, trust and estate, risk management, disability, financial independence, philanthropy, and tax minimization. He is also a member of the Callan Capital Investment Committee.

Prior to starting Callan Capital, Tim spent seven years with Merrill Lynch and was a member of the firm’s dedicated high net worth division, The Private Banking and Investment Group. Before Merrill Lynch, he worked at Charles Schwab in the Retail Strategy department and the Pacific Coast Options Exchange.

Tim earned a B.S. in finance at the University of Colorado in Boulder.

Tim strives to give back to the San Diego community. He is president of PEERS, a non-profit organization of entrepreneurs and community leaders that give back time and money to local charities. Tim is also a member of the Kiwanis Club of San Diego, which focuses on the needs of young children in the local community. He is an avid skier, surfer, and sailor who lives in Point Loma with his wife, Jacqueline, and daughter, Lily.

Managing Partner


Ryan co-founded Callan Capital with his brothers, Tim and Trevor, in January 2007. He handles operations, including firm-wide trading, compliance, technology, and strategic planning, and also sits on the Callan Capital Investment Committee.

Prior to starting the company, Ryan spent five years with Merrill Lynch, assisting high net worth individuals in the areas of wealth management and financial planning. He began his professional financial career at Preferred Capital in Lake Tahoe in 1997 after graduating from the University of Nevada in Reno, as an executive in the firm’s business financial services unit, focusing on lending to small and mid-sized companies.

Ryan is committed to giving back to the community and is a board member for a variety of organizations, including the Kiwanis Club of San Diego, the Kiwanis Youth Services Committee, Membership Development Committee, and Community Services Committee, and he’s a founding member of the Kiwanis Young Professionals Group.

Ryan enjoys spending time with his wife, Heidi, and two sons.  He also enjoys tennis, golf, fishing, surfing, and skiing.

Director, Financial Planning


David has been with Callan Capital since its January 2007 beginning. Previously, he worked in finance as an intern with The Callan Group at Merrill Lynch. He is responsible for investment analytics and creating financial plans for clients, as well as managing client reporting.

David graduated from University of California, San Diego in 2007 with a B.A. in economics and is currently working to become a Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP®).

David’s interests include the ongoing restoration of his 1969 Mustang and the culinary arts.
