Joan joined Callan Capital in January 2024. Joan received her B.A. from James Madison University in Virginia and earned an MBA in Finance and Accounting from Regis University. She holds the CFP®, “Certified Financial Planner designation” along with credentials as a CHFC®, “Chartered Financial Consultant” and a FSCP®, “Certified Professional in Financial Services”.
With over 15 years of experience in wealth management, the majority of which was spent at TIAA, she dedicated the last nine years to their Private Planning Group. During this time, she covered a significant portion of the country, catering to ultra-high net worth “UHNW” clients. She takes pride in being a trusted partner to these individuals and their families.
During her leisure time, Joan and her husband, Eddy, enjoy taking advantage of all the beautiful outdoor activities Colorado has to offer, including skiing, hiking with their dog George Pecan, attending outdoor music venues, shopping, and getting together with friends and family. She also dedicates her time to volunteering for her daughter Flavia’s ballet school and soccer team.
Joan is an active member of various professional and volunteer associations, including the Alliance of Professional Women and Alliance Charitable Foundation, Habitat for Humanity, and the Bailey Program for Family Enterprise at the Daniels College of Business at the University of Denver. The Bailey Program for Family Enterprise provides education, community, research and advocacy to family businesses and family offices helping them build relevant skills and connections for the long-term success of their enterprise and wellbeing of their family across generations.
