TIM S. CALLAN, CFP®, CPWA®

Managing Partner

Tim co-founded Callan Capital with his two brothers, Ryan and Trevor, in January 2007. He has been assisting high net worth individuals in wealth management since 2000. As a Certified Financial Planner® and Certified Private Wealth Advisor®, Tim takes responsibility for clients’ overall financial planning and oversees a team of planners. He addresses topics most pressing to a significant estate, including asset management, debt management, trust and estate, risk management, disability, financial independence, philanthropy, and tax minimization. He is also a member of the Callan Capital Investment Committee.

Prior to starting Callan Capital, Tim spent seven years with Merrill Lynch and was a member of the firm’s dedicated high net worth division, The Private Banking and Investment Group. Before Merrill Lynch, he worked at Charles Schwab in the Retail Strategy department and the Pacific Coast Options Exchange.

Tim earned a B.S. in finance at the University of Colorado in Boulder.

Tim strives to give back to the San Diego community. He is president of PEERS, a non-profit organization of entrepreneurs and community leaders that give back time and money to local charities. Tim is also a member of the Kiwanis Club of San Diego, which focuses on the needs of young children in the local community. He is an avid skier, surfer, and sailor who lives in Point Loma with his wife, Jacqueline, and daughter, Lily.
