Ryan co-founded Callan Capital with his brothers, Tim and Trevor, in January 2007. He is in charge of the overall strategic direction at Callan Capital including firm-wide trading, compliance, technology, strategic planning as well as sitting on the Callan Capital Investment Committee.
Prior to starting the company, Ryan spent five years with Merrill Lynch, assisting high net worth individuals in the areas of wealth management and financial planning. He began his professional financial career at Preferred Capital in Lake Tahoe in 1997 after graduating from the University of Nevada in Reno, as an executive in the firm’s business financial services unit, focusing on lending to small and mid-sized companies.
Ryan is committed to giving back to the community and is a board member for a variety of organizations, including the Kiwanis Club of San Diego, the Kiwanis Youth Services Committee, Membership Development Committee, and Community Services Committee, and he’s a founding member of the Kiwanis Young Professionals Group.
Ryan enjoys spending time with his wife, Heidi, and two sons. He also enjoys tennis, golf, fishing, surfing, and skiing.
